Lena: Can you find someone who knows suck training to help her? I have
used the Haberman very successfully, in conjunction with suck training.
I'd have the mom start by "walking out the tongue". Please make sure she's
not using any pacifiers and make certain that no one in the family is allow
the baby to suck on their finger with the finger nail up. The position
I've found that works best for these babies is an exaggerated "dancer's
hold" sitting up, with the chin down. Also, check to see if baby is
scratching the roof of the mouth with the tongue while thrusting. This
could indicate an allergy issue. 'Hope this helps.
