I am taking a breastfeeding course and am presently working on the
nutrition section of the course. This sounds like such an easy question
but it's not, even if you have nutrition education. I guess I find it
challenging because I haven't done any clinical work yet. Can anyone help
me?

What are the signs that a lactating mother is at a risk of poor nutrition?

My ideas were:

rapid weight loss, fatigue, depression, irritability

Would it show in the baby? Would only long term poor nutrition affect milk
supply and then affect baby?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Dana
