Hi, Lactnetters. I hope that the yearly ILCA conference was its usual
success.
I am always there in spirit (since the body has its financial
constrictions).

Just wanted to tell everyone with library access of interesting article in
Lancet, vol 352, August 22, 1998, pp. 597-600. Leroy V et al:
International multicentre pooled analysis of late postnatal
mother-to-child transmission of HIV-1 infection.
Bottom line of study: "If breastfeeding had stopped at age 4 months,
transmission would have occurred in no infants, and in three if it had stopped at 6 months."

If this stimulates interesting discussion, would greatly appreciate a cc
to me privately since I am *still* nomail.

Hope this finds everyone out there fine.

Best regards, Judy Holtzer Knopf in Beer Sheva, Israel, actively pursuing
Master's in Medical Science, hoping in this way to get some respect as
professional. Besides, I love studying, although it is daunting not in my
native English.....in another 2 years, all 3 of my kids will be studying
for their bachelors', so I gotta keep ahead of them!
