I went to the Air Show at Cherry Point Air Station today. Thousands of people
were there, including lots of babies. I saw babies in slings and snuglis,
baby packs and strollers. I saw lots of bottles stuck in the stroller corner
or pockets. How do they stay fresh? Or are they so full of preservatives,
they don't need to be kept in a cooler. I also saw the worst case of bottle
decay in a little boy about 3 yrs old. My daughter said she had never seen
that and I realized it is because she has been around BF babies her whole
life. She also pointed out to her fiancee that you can tell a BF baby right
away by the peaches and cream skin-babies fed formula have pimples ( in her
words). Her fiancee is getting quite an education in Bfing being around this
family!
The baby in the sling was being BF while walking around the aircraft
displays. I couldn't get close enough to tell the mom "good job" but I
thought she was a good model.
My daughter also said that yesterday on the Health Station ( cable TV) there
was a show on Bfing where they were asking people on the street questions
about bfing. She said the men knew more then the women on the show and her
fiancee knew all but one of the answers. He missed the one about breast size
and milk production. She said she didn't recognize the LC who was being
interviewed.
