Mom in my BF class tonight has asked for advice/ support.

G2 P1 previous elective C-section for CPD, was never in Labor. Had Fertility treatments, clomid I think, to get pregnant with first. She states that her milk never came in, baby was Jaundiced, on Bili lights, lost weight, she tried for 3 weeks and then gave up. This child is now 7 years old.

She just adopted a baby- and voila! surprise pregnancy!

She is scheduled for a repeat c-section next week. Am I right to be optimistic for her in thinking that, because she had no trouble getting pregnant this time, perhaps her homones will kick in better for milk production with this baby?

She is extremely dedicated and sounds like she will do just about anything to make it work this time.

We already discussed as much skin to skin as possible. Any other advice would be much appreciated.

  thank you,
