Kim said: "Someday,
it is my hope that the medical community will STOP dictating to mom's and
more of an intuitive relationship will evolve with mommies and babies."

My most fervent hope is that people will stop taking every word uttered by a
member of the "medical community" as coming directly from god's mouth! I am
NOT "bashing" anyone, including "medical people" (hey, I'm one myself!), but
as long as folks allow themselves to be dictated to, that's what they will
get. We all need to be responsible for sifting through what we are told and
deciding what makes sense and what doesn't. This is the other side of what
Susan posted about recently, when she talked about the differences between
sharing information and telling women what to do.

And we in this business have responsibility for BOTH sides of the issue -
how we, as "experts" or authorities in our field present information, and
how we accept (or don't) "information" that we ourselves are given. The
ultimate radical action: Question everything!
