Regarding the increased interaction nursing mothers have with their babies as cited in the article below, I recall the powerful UNICEF photo from at least twenty years ago of two mothers sitting side-by-side feeding their babies. If memory serves, the mother on the left side of the photo was bottle-feeding her baby while he/she was seated in the mother's lap, and the mother was looking away from her baby, as if bored or perturbed. On the right side of the photograph, a nursing mother was fully and joyfully engaged with her baby as she held him/her obviously much closer than the bottle-feeding baby was being held. The nursing mother was smiling while looking at her nursling, and I think she appeared to be talking to her baby. Back in the late 1990's, I contacted UNICEF seeking permission to use the photograph, but the person I spoke with could not locate a credit to a specific photographer, and could not help me further. Would anyone know of this photograph's source? The mothers were African, but I do not recall further details re: country.
