Another
LC would be the most obvious answer, but for people who don't have ready
access to a supportive person with a pump depot, are there any suggestions?
Do pump companies offer them? I have simply not had enough experience with
this - I don't rent them myself right now, but do get calls where this would
clearly be beneficial knowledge to have.<<

I'm not sure what you are asking here ie. are you looking to develop a
knowledge base in order to answer pump related questions? Whether purchase or
rental, assuming that the mother received the pump from *full service*
rental depot
all questions should be directed back to the depot. If, for instance, Mom
bought a pump in style from a chain store, I would direct her to call Medela.
Medela has a trained support staff to deal with any questions pump related
and I still often refer a client to them after 8 years as a rental depot.
Before starting the depot I had some experience with hospital grade pumps
from working in the hospital. If you are looking to develop a basic
familiarity with the pumps, I wouldn't hesitate to call one of the major
rental depots in your area. Since I live just up the road a piece :), I am
well acquainted with many of the owners whom, I think, would be happy to help
you out. I know I would!
