Dear Lactnetters:

My post (and the answers) the other day about CST and complimentary services
to IBCLC practice got me thinking, and I wonder if you would humour me a
little by helping me to create a bucket list of knowledge, service,
credientials, etc. that IBCLC should have in the event that our industry is
one day fully degreed, licensed, and accountable. This is NOT meant as a
debate about whether or not the IBCLC designation should move toward a 4
year degree program/ licensing for all who hold the designation, nor is is
meant to open up any cans of worms; rather, it meant as a way for us to
share our ideas on what we'd like to see in the IBCLC Bucket List of things
we'd like to know and be able to carry out as we serve mothers and babies.

I'll start. Please add only one item to the list per post by cutting and
pasting the list into a new post, and then adding your own idea. Don't
forget to put 'Bucket List" in to the subject line of your email. Here
goes...
