Hi everyone.  First of all, let me say thank you to everyone who responsed
to my avonex question.  Brief summary: mom and baby having a wonderful
breastfeeding experience.  Mom very relieved to know she will be able to
continue bf should she have to resume her injections for recurring
symptoms.

I am in the midst of a childbirth class weekend marathon.  First thing
tomorrow is breastfeeding class.  Today, I had a mom tell me that her OB
doc said she could not bf because she had "non-contagious" TB and was sick
often with sinus infections.  This is a new one on me.  From the
information I was able to get from this mom, it sounded as if she had a
positive skin test, nothing shown on CXR, on no meds.  From what I remember
reading, I see no reason for this mom not to bf.  I am in a tizzy now
because I can't find my bf bible (Breastfeeding and Human Lactation).  I
have searched the archives and found posts on TB meds, but nothing I can
relate to this.

I have a feeling that I will be grilled by this particular OB doc when I
tell this mom she should bf. (it will not be the first time) So I want to
get my argument ready.  :-)   This area is not very breastfeeding
supportive.  Not only the hospital, but the community in general.  So I
have to work twice as hard to moms to bf and not give up easily.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.
