Tell her feed straight from source,throw out HMF doesn't need to supplement
unless baby not getting enougj from her.

Where are peds getting their information from.

I work in an Australia NICU ,we stop HMF/LBW s26 at 2kgs.When babies
considered term should be treated as term baby not as preemie which is what
alot of peds forget.This means that they breast feed fully as per normal
term baby,if unable to suck feed every feed at breast then be offered EBM
via what ever means Mum wants to use.

Does she really need to take her baby back to ped for any particular reason
if baby is feeding and putting on weight.

Why give baby extra calories that he/she doesn't need except to make him/her
overweight.
