Hi Jeanette,
Sorry this is so late. I have a client who is bf her adopted baby and
giving him milk from his biological mother (a paid surrogate) as well.
The bad thing in this situation is that the parenting mom lost most of
her supply due to oversupplementing at the insistence of her husband,
who wants the baby to get mostly the surrogate's milk. He does not
think that her milk (a supply laboriously maintained after a 2nd
trimester pregnancy loss through the search for a surrogate and the
whole pregnancy) is as good for the baby.

Of course a biological mom's milk is tailored for the baby, but in this
case a temporary, partial supply came at the expense of the adoptive
mom's long term ability to make milk for the baby. If the adopting mom
does not have an established milk supply, it would be great if the
surrogate would supply milk.

And of course this father does not want his wife to use pharmacological
means to increase her supply.
