Manuka honey kicks ass.  It's awesome on a sore throat, can be used for minor skin afflictions and burns, or skin afflictions that are unaffected by medications.  Still, it's honey, and should not be used any place a baby will ingest it.

Trader Joe's sometimes carries Manuka honey.  Beware of counterfeit honey, though.  A lot of products labeled as honey or manuka honey are adulterated with sugar syrups or non-manuka honey.    Julie Tardos, who has a jar in her cupboard for medicinal purposes ==== I went to rehab in wine country just to keep my options open.  -- Robin Williams
