Hi All,
I know we did a lot of talk about this a while back, so the archives would
be a good place to check for more info.
However, I did want to comment on Red Raspberry in tea and capsule form. I
took the capsules during pregnancy and they were wonderful. RR is s'posed
to help "tone" the uterus (whatever that means). It was wonderful for me bc
I started my last pregnancy with a "cranky uterus". Early pregnancy was a
constant scare for me (not only bc I had just had a miscarriage) bc I would
have painful contractions. My midwives suggested RR and my uterus settled
right down, and the pregnancy continued on unevetfully. During Labor, my
blood pressure got too high. The midwives made me some RR Tea and, though I
argued with them at the time (I can be rather stubborn when agitated and my
agitation was caused by my blood pressure rising) they forced me to drink
the tea (as well as lie on my left side) and within a short period of time,
my blood pressure started to drop down to normal/safe limits.
I have also talked to many moms who like the RR Tea/herbs bc it does seem to
help their milk supply. (Teas are wimpy, capsules or tinctures have more
ooomph.) Besides, the tea tastes great with a little honey!
Just my .02!
