We have used 30 mg IM or IV routinely on the first post-C-section day  (our
patients often have IV narcotics or epidural morphine over the first night)
followed by oral ibuprofen for the past four  or five years without any undue
problems.  Ibuprofen is poorly excreted into breast milk and ketorolac ought
to be the same or similar--the nurses ought to be aware of the differences
between giving a baby the non-steroidal versus the mom.  The only reason we
don't continue with oral ketorolac is that it costs too much!   Maybe that
would have gotten some more eyebrows raised in the nursery!  Just my own
opinion.  What does Dr. Hale think?
