Not sure how it could be misused unless the caregiver isn't allowing the
mother to do it herself.  And certainly not quite sure how the hand pump is
better than the nipple "sucker".  Which brings me to the point that it is
important to fit the size of the syringe to the mother's nipple.  A 20 cc may
be too big for some -- too small for others.  Most moms I work w/ do well w/
a 12 cc syringe.  Brings out just the nipple and not all the areolar tissue
around it which the pump can do as well.

Please, everyone, keep in mind that ANY equipment can be misused by people
who don't read the directions.  That isn't a reason to avoid using something
if it is appropriate for the situation.
