Hi Everyone, just wanted to share with you all a project the Massachusetts
Breastfeeding Coalition (MBC) has just launched.
It had been posted before that we were targeting the providers for the
expecting mothers with ideas to peak their interest and therefore think and talk
more to their patients about breastfeeding.
We came up with the idea "Breastfeeding for All Walks of Life" and took
pictures of many different feet and shoes and made it into a poster. We plan to
send postcards with these pictures to OB's and midwives. On the backs there
are questions with pearls to help them identify correct breastfeeding
management.
We also contacted our subway system in Boston and have secured this poster
to run on one of the lines for the next 8 weeks.
You all can see this campaign by going to _www.massbfc.org_
(http://www.massbfc.org) on the home page and click onto the story.
I want to also let Diane Weissinger know that she helped inspire us on the
write up for the campaign, letting clinicians think about breastfeeding as the
norm and standard.
Any comments and feedback are welcomed.
Ann Perry, RN IBCLC
