I'd hate to be there for those c-sections with no
anesthesia!  When you think about those things that
women are told, and take them to the extreme, it's
easy to figure out how ridiculous they can be.

On the subject of birth, I trained as a doula and one
of the books on the list was Sheila Kitzenger's
"Complete Book of Pregnancy and Childbirth".  It's a
great book and makes me wonder why it isn't more
popular than it is.  I think if women did some *good*
reading before birth, we wouldn't be seeing so many
breastfeeding problems.  My first copy, btw, was not
returned to me when I lost it at the local Y, but my
expensive tape player was.  Interesting.
