I have to echo the post from Katherine Sealy about the hosility on the
flight being the exception not the norm. I always nursed my kids on planes
(my kids are 25, 21, 18) even way back when. I fly a lot, and always notice
who on planes is breast vs. bottlefeeding. I've never seen a breastfeeding
woman harrassed on a plane. The offensive behavior of the other passenger
is the problem here. Perhaps the intended aftermath of terrorism is
escalation of fear to unreasonable levels (I guess that IS the definition of
paranoia), and maybe the man was so afflicted. However, perhaps he was just
an incredibly rude jerk and someone needed to tell him to buy a clue.
