Well, I don't know about the other lactation educators and educators-to-be,
but I think this e-mail by Esther Friedman won the official Friday You Go
Girl Award. I love seeing such a beautifully written, angry letter fired
off to those who advocate such irresponsible approaches to
nursing/breastfeeding.

As educators and childbirth professionals, I think it is well within our
scope to tell mothers what Baby Talk's priorities are. Truly, I think the
only language that the editors understand is money. So if we can show
them that irresponsible journalism results in lower sales, perhaps this can
encourage/force change. I know that many doctors' offices hand out this
magazine like it's candy, but there's still room for action.

Kind regards,
Alison Jacobson
