Huh??  I can see that it would be screamingly inappropriate for a 
nine-year-old to BE the night caregiver for the new baby, but I can't 
see why it's a problem to allow her to fantasise about it.  She probably 
has only a vague idea of what's actually involved!

Obviously it needs to be made clear to her that children can't take care 
of babies all night and that this won't be happening, but it seems 
totally reasonable to let her go along with enjoying the fantasies, in a 
"Wouldn't it be lovely if you could do it!" kind of way, as long as the 
reality is clear.  Or was that what you meant?
