I have a mom who keeps threatening preterm labor. She's had two rounds of
amag sulfate bolus and drip then discharged from hospital. Now she's also on
Terbutaline. This last time they also gave her beta methazone (for the
baby's lungs). She's now describing over the phone (she's quite far from me)
a case of engorgement. Would the medications result in engorgement,
specifically the steroid? Or is the fullness she's experiencing the result
of water retention due to the steroid? She's quite uncomfortable, says it
feels like past times when she's missed a feeding.

I can't find anything on this in my files. And I've never had a mom going
through this treatment describe this before.
