I have a mother that is 17 days post partum and can only pump 1 oz per 24 hours.  She has never felt engorgement.  She is feeding her baby on demand every 2 hours. This mother really wants to nurse but I am not sure what more I can do for her. We have been using a SNS at breast to keep baby stimulating for supplementation but with formula. Infant latch  is deep and appropriate. She was checked for the potential of thyroid issues with negative results. Her doctor also performed a ultrasound due to the fact that she had no bleeding since the 3 day postpartum.  She is using Mothers milk tea and fenugreek. As you can tell this is a very motivated mother.  Her prenatal history is of no significance and delivery was quick 3 hours. This mother is a first time mother who just want to breastfeed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All this is share with the mothers approval.
