I agree with Darlene Breed's comments about getting down on knees. Early on in my career as an LC, I don't think I was sensitive enough to the importance of being at eye-level with my clients and I may have inadvertently made some of them feel ill-at-ease. Now, if I just can't get down to their level for some reason, I apologize for "looming" over them and they seem to appreciate that.
