While the recent studies did not show any specific structures that could be called milk sinuses, the ultrasounds I saw several ILCA conferences back were showing how the ducts would swell with milk during an MER.  Interestingly enough, the transducer showing this "swelling" was placed over the same area that had been supposed to have the sinuses.  Therefore, although the discription of the anatomy is different now, the practice of where baby's mouth needs to be (or fingers if one is hand expressing) for effective milk removal is basically the same.
