Any ideas on how a small pump rental station can increase its business?
I'm not a lactation consultant so I don't have that draw, I just do pump
rentals and sell breastfeeding supplies. I've done the promotional
mailing the pump company offers, sent flyers to the local hospitals, have
an ad in the Yellow Pages, and have a small classified ad in a local
child/family oriented newspaper.

Also, for those of you doing pump rentals or seeing clients from your
homes, how do you deal with keeping your house presentable? I have four
children so having my house always clean is impossible. When I get an
early morning pump call, I'm sometimes faced with trying to decide
whether to take a shower and make myself presentable or straightening up
the house and having it look presentable. With four children I also don't
have any spare bedrooms to use as an office so I do business in the
living room or kitchen which lacks a bit of professionalism I feel. I've
been thinking about trying to find a small office space in town, possibly
subleting something from someone else with a large office space. This
would also give me a place to store my supplies (other than my bedroom!).
I'm also not comfortable having strangers in my home for safety reasons.
My husband is gone at work a lot and I'm home alone with the children.

Any advice from those more experienced than I?

TIA,

Kim
