One more update and finally it's good news... well some anyway.

Got on the horn yesterday as posted and through the grapevine my co-leader
was able to get someone who knows a nurse in the MDs office and she read the
chart... and MD *is* concerned has been concerned all along...

Big surprise (NOT): mom is lying to me... it's unusual for me not to get
this right away. I had a bad feeling, but really didn't jump on it... next
time I'll know to contact MD right away when things look this serious and
mom isnt' responding appropriately...

According to chart notes, Mom was told to give formula by MD, but she told
me he said to pump twice a day... Wonder what she's told him I"ve said???
Luckily my fax yestday, to the MD, indicated what mom has been saying all
along about what MD has been saying, e.g. no concern, brick dust normal,
weight fine, etc..and that Mom is NOT giving formula; so hopefully he
confronted her on this at today's reweigh or better yet hospitalized this
infant for his (the baby's) own protection.

When I find out how all this finally resolves I'll let everyone know, but I
am much relieved knowing the MD, two of his nurses, the head of public
health, and the home health nurses are all on top of this case and all
agreed that this baby is in serious need of intervention NOW!

Lesson learned: if it smells fishy, it's rotten --

Thank you all again!!
