Katherine, don't ask!  Whatever it is, it is more than some company can
extract, mix with something so that they can patent, and put in a tube of
"cabbage gel."

My friend broke her arm above the wrist. She had just an ace bandage on it
at first and it began to swell.  I suggested that she put cabbage leaves on
it under the bandage.  She said, "What will I tell the orthoped when I go
in."  I said, "Tell him it's lunch."

She told him what it was for and he affirmed that it seemed to have worked
to keep the swelling in check.  I'll bet it will be a part of his standard
protocol now, don't you?
