This comes from an anonymous Lactnetter who has a really good point.

----------
Please remember that anything that is posted on Lactnet is the opinion or
concern of the author of the post. That means that the post is for Lactnet and
Lactnet alone. If it is to be reprinted or used somewhere else, one MUST obtain
permission from the author of the post. It is the rules and it is just common
courtesy.

I have recently had a post I printed on Lactnet be published in another
publication as a letter to the editor. I did not send my post to that
publication. Someone broke the rules and posted it IN MY NAME to another
publication. I am now very upset and it could have bearing on my job and my
standing with my institution where I work. It was meant only for Lactnet.

You may not use anything without permission. Don't forget that. To do so could
cause a great deal of problems for someone, and it is not right.

Someone could do the same thing to you sometime.
