yes.  I have celiac and was just diagnosed about 3 months ago - at 30.  b/c
some of my symptoms were unusual - wasn't suffering from symptoms of
malabsorption or from weight loss, my physician said it was "impossible".
Fortunately, I'd done my research and was able to give her some of the more
recent info.  b/c of other gluten related probs (exema, dermatitis
herpetiformis) I had been gluten free on and off for four years, probably
delaying the onset of the classical celiac symptoms.  They finally came
visiting in full force this summer.

Mom may have to push on this one, as most hcp's view is as exceedingly
uncommon though recent studies have indicated that celiac isn't all that rare
- probably about 1 in 90-300 instead of the previously assumed 1 in 3000 in
those of european decent.
