Hi all,

The clogged nipple pore topic is very interesting to me. I once had this
condition, years ago while nursing a toddler, and it hurt like crazy. The LC
I spoke to advised me to avoid dairy products, sugar, and before and after
bf to use vinegar on the nipple. I know if I remember this exactly right. In
a day or so, maybe two? it was thankfully gone. Evidently the vinegar
disolved the calcium deposit? Since becoming a LC student, I have looked in
my scanty library of textbooks for remedies for this condition, and all I
have found was to apply warm compresses and nurse it out. For me, the
deposit was ingrained in the pore, really glued in, and I don't believe warm
compresses would've gotten rid of the plug. If anyone knows more about this,
please post so we can learn something new.
