  this was discussed in ref to a case presentation at physicians and the jist
is.... a) md's have not "seen'" any reseach that indicates that there is a
contradiction with placing immed. postpartum and bf.... our experiences are
anecdotal so they don't really count(!) b) there is concern that mother will
not return for appropriate contraception and c) they do not give her
information that has not been substatiated.....therefore... "strike while the
iron is hot!"
