Regarding the article: Breastfed babies aren't smarter...

Based on what the article says, does that mean that breastfeeding
mom's are more likely to have high IQ, be of higher economic status
and/or have higher education level?

This statement got me to thinking...

"researchers found a positive impact for breastfeeding on intelligence
only when other potential contributors -- such as the mother's IQ and
the parents' educational and economic status -- were not taken into
consideration.

When these variables were considered, breastfeeding was found to have
little impact on a child's IQ."

....when they took away all the mom's with higher IQ's, higher economic
status, and higher education the study noted minimal or no impact, so...
In a way, that does indirectly say that mom's with higher IQ's...etc,
were more likely to breastfeed and therefore there are more babies with
higher IQ's. AND... while I am on a roll here... since we know that
breastfeeding has MANY health benefits, and increases infant mortality,
more intelligent people populate the earth and survive to continue
passing on the higher IQ gene... Therefore, one could say that
breastfeeding does help to populate the earth with more people of higher
intelligence.

Ok... I will stop rambling now! :-)
