Beloved Lactnetters,
I am posting, with permission, on behalf of a friend
and co-worker.

Friend is nursing one-year-old. Friend's mother is in
her mid-50's, has suffered from colitis and
inflammatory bowel disorders for many years. Friend
recently read about human milk being of help in these
cases and is interested in donating milk to her own
mom; mom lives locally, so shipping would not be a
problem. To me, this is such a generous, loving thing
to even offer, it nearly brings me to tears!

Her questions for me included how long human milk
would need to be taken to have an effect, and is there
a "minimum" dose that has been shown to be of benefit.
If any of you here could direct me to some resources
to pass on to them, this "mom and baby" pair would be
deeply appreciative!

Thanks In Advance,
Carole Jernigan
