From my reading only, no real experience with this. There is no associated
mental retardation. There is an associated syndrome for some called Many to
most are said to "grow" into their jaws. A few have a surgery to expand the
jaw. I know some adults have very recessed chins that I have seen in real
life. I wonder if they had Pierre Robin.

There is an association with "Sticklers Syndrome" sometimes, not always
"Stickler Syndrome is a genetic disorder which affects connective tissues,
including the joints, eyes, palate, heart and hearing. This disorder is
characterized by possible vision problems, hearing loss, early arthritis,
cleft palate, and heart murmurs."

It can be Pierre Robin with just the chin, the wide cleft palate is common
but not mandatory.
