My darling husband decided to treat me to a dinner out with my precious
little girl today. We took a trip to the ladies room at a very well
established restaraunt and on our way out of the restroom I noticed a
woman cowaring in a corner standing facing the wall cramed between the
wall and where the door opened. Knowing what she was up to I offered to
get her a chair to which she kindly refused (probably more out of
embarassment that someone noticed she was nursing) but I became upset
the rest of my meal. It bothered me that on the day my country sets
aside to honor mothers a woman can't even be comfortable when trying to
care for her baby. I am seriously tempted to write a letter to the
manager as well as the national office explaining why I am upset. I can
uderstand if she felt uncomfortable nursing in front of strangers (that
personally would not have bothered me a bit) but she should at least
have a place where she can sit and tend to the needs of her infant. Not
have to stand in a corner running the risk of someone ramming the door
into her while she nursed.
Just venting a little here and I thought you all may understand.
