Not necessarily.  It is a generalization, but my experience has been
that male professionals can be more open than females to becoming
educated about lactation.  Women's experiences and choices as mothers
seem more likely to drift into their opinions and advice to new
parents.  It's bad enough to question their medical knowledge, but to
question their *mothering* experience...
