Finally back after many computer problems and a week at the
County Fair with my brood of 4Hers (mostly horses, but also
rabbits, dogs, and llamas). My DH is a network administrator who
networked all of our home computers and is constantly testing out
new software and configurations, hence my own continuing
computer problems. Oh well, if it helps to keep him gainfully
employed, I cannot complain much. He is probably the reason I
breastfed my first as I had lost all self-confidence after a
horrendous start and a week of dealing with the docs at Tripler
Army Medical Center (in Hawaii). He threw the formula away and
put us to bed. He also was not fazed in the least when I nursed in
front of all his Navy buddies (he was a CTM on fast attack subs
when our first was born) and was enthusiastic about the family bed.
He also encouraged me to become an LC. He still encourages co-
workers to support bf and co-sleeping and gives WAB as a baby
gift. I am constantly reminded of how special he is as I work with
moms who have husbands who are so clueless and sometimes
even abusive, at least in my eyes. However, we don't see eye-to-
eye on the upcoming departure of our baby to college - he is
looking forward to our empty nest, whereas I am dreading it and
missing her already.

Warmly,
Sharon K.
