Just thought I would share a message straight from my client's email.
Sometimes we try hard but sometimes things really get tough.  I have been
focusing on developing "positive pumping attitude and strategies".  This mom
REALLY needs to keep her milk supply up during this stressful time.

Debbie,

 I spoke with his surgeon yesterday and J---- will have to be NPO for 5 days,
no ifs ands or buts.  He will be admitted in the early hours of the 27th and
will be having surgery on the 28th.  He will be in PICU for 2 days following
surgery and 3-4 days following, will be able to nurse again.  He is losing
more weight and was just 11lbs 10ozs and his iron levels are low (due to the
disease and the ability to absorb in the colon).  He is very sick and he is
in a very critical time right now to gain some weight and get stronger.  They
put him back on the human milk fortifier and MCT oil to help pack in extra
calories since this helped last time.  He has lost 1 lb 5 ozs since being
taken off of the HMF & MCT oil so they hope he will be at least 12.5 for
surgery.  He will be 4 months old tomorrow.

Thank you for your help!   I just wish things were different.
