Margaret, that is shocking that any health professional would insist that the mother
should pump and dump that precious first milk with no real evidence that this medication
is harmful. We have so much evidence to tell us the risks of artificial infant milk.

Not only that, recently heard Audrey J Naylor MD. DrPH. speak in Toronto (she was amazing);
who compared the IGA and IGG from day one to day seven in human milk.
Day 1    IGG 80   IGA 11,000
Day 3    IGG 50   IGA  2000
Day 7    IGG 25   IGA  1000
Days7-20   IGG 10    IGA 1000

Can there be any doubt that the first milk is very important? What happened to 'First do no harm' ?
