Greetings, all

I have mom who is 3 weeks postpartum. She had a bad case of PUPP
(pregnancy rash) and since delivery has had horrendous rash all over her
abdomen & legs but not, thankfully, her breasts. The nursing has been a
struggle and she's been mostly pumping but the baby latched today so she is
hopeful that things are improving on that score.

She has had oral steroids with little help. The itching is very intense
but she is reluctant to use antihistamines. She has an appointment with a
dermatologist today but the docs are suggesting that this might be related
to her hormones and that she might have to wean. She is violently opposed
to this suggestion, but is interested in help if anyone else has dealt with
this. I did not find anything directly related in the archives. If you
have any ideas mom and I would be most grateful.

Thanks.

Sue
