I have had a similar situation with posting the picture of the little girl
and doll. The picture was torn out of my poster, staff members wrote
comments on the poster for and against the photo , the poster was taken
down, etc. I kept hanging a new one up in its place. Management, while
agreeing with me left responses up to me and told me to deal with the
objecting staff member who, by the way wrote me up for posting offensive
material. I took the stance that defacing or destroying hospital property
could be subject to reprimands. That seemed to stop further objections.
This particular staff member did tell me she was uncomfortable with the
photo because she had experienced sexual abuse as a child. Goes to show how
powerful our personal experiences are.
