Hi all,

I'm posting this for an LLL Leader who is working on an article for LLLI's
magazine for members, NEW BEGINNINGS. She has already searched the archives
on this topic. We appreciate your help with gathering information for this
article.

*********

I am an LLL Leader working on an article about breastfeeding and sexuality.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone about whether the mothers they have
worked with have reported being sexually aroused by breastfeeding and if so
what were the circumstances (age of baby, nursing details--was nursing going
well, full or partial, cue or scheduled, comfort or nutrition only) how
often did this happen, what physical signs of arousal did the mother
describe; what level of arousal (mild or orgasmic or anything in between),
what was the mother's reaction to this, and how many mothers have you
encountered that described this. Please share any other details you think
would be helpful. I'd also like to hear about how the mothers you have
worked with feel breastfeeding has (or has not) affected their sexuality in
general and/or their sexual relations with a partner.

As you are no doubt aware, the literature on this subject is full of
different findings and conjectures. If there are studies you know of that
have merit or ones that you question whether they have any merit, that
information would be helpful, too. Thanks.

Please post replies to the list if you think they would be of general
interest. Or post privately to:
