I openly admit to being more of a lurker here than a poster but have to say
something about quackwatch. The owner of the site, Stephen Barrett is
essentially a fear monger to any alternative profession or treatment

In a Canadian lawsuit (see below) Barrett admitted to the following:

*"The sole purpose of the activities of Barrett & Baratz are to discredit
and cause damage and harm to health care practitioners, businesses that make
alternative health therapies or products available, and advocates of
non-allopathic therapies and health freedom."*

*from http://www.quackpotwatch.org/quackpots/quackpots/barrett.htm*

As far as articles go - admittedly this list is not peer reviewed - you can
find a fair bit at http://www.iahe.com/controller/ArticleList which is a
link through the Upledger Institute.
