Hello,

I was discussing with another of our ressource persons with Allaitement
Québec (our bf support group) today, who said she found something that
might interest me. It's called Bekebobo which in french (the real
spelling would be: "bec au bobo" or something like that) means "a kiss
on the hurt spot". Something like that. I gather it is like a magic
bag (those bags with seed in them that you can heat up or put in the
freezer) in the shape of a teddy bear. Anyhow, getting to the nursing
part: profits from the sale of this small bean-bag-type teddy bear
(which is selling for 10$ a pop) are to go to a girl, supposedly, who
has some sort of malabsorption problems and who is still exclusively
breastfed at 3 years of age.

My question is: does anyone know of any problems like this? What are
they? And also...are they generally hereditary or do they not run in
the family but are more a "chance happening"?

I did a web search on Bekebobo (which was the name my friend had in her
pamphlet on this teddy) and came up with nothing, so I assume they are
not online yet (I searched several search engines including a
meta-engine).

Thanks in advance
Fio
ressource person for Allaitement Québec
