I've seen these used but they are not durable or easily cleanable for NICU settings where terminal cleaning is sometimes needed. We have purchased durable rocker-recliners that are washable and really awesome. The moms and dads love them!

Subject: zero gravity recliner for STS

Hi Everyone,

We would like for our moms and dads to be able to do more STS in the nursery. We have limited space and, of course, limited money! I was on the kangaroocareusa.org website and they recommended a zero gravity chair, such as the La Fuma lounge chair for moms/dads doing STS. They state they are very comfortable for post-partum moms to sit in. They are also less than $200 and fold-up when not is use. My question is: Is anybody using something like this and if yes then what are your thoughts. Thanks!

Christine Lichte, BS, IBCLC
