I am responding to the post about the mom who reported that the LC said
It was okay to supplement her 9# baby with formula. Frequently, on this
list, we repeat statements  that moms have said that they were told by
their health professionals.  I have learned the hard way that many moms
hear what they want to hear, and it isn't always exactly what was said
by the HP! I believe that its probably a good idea to verify what was said
before we repeat things based on what mothers  tell us.
