A nurse I worked with had copious colostrum release for the last 3 months of
her pregnancy. She first came to me with fears that her baby would be
short-changed in terms of colostrums intake at birth.

She continued to need to change pads while at work and at night had a towel
under her, due to all the leaking, but she had no other medical condition
that warranted concern. Her birth initiated spontaneously at 38 weeks, she
delivered a healthy infant who had great feeds from the first (the
appearance was NOT mature milk, but still the yellowish colostrum), then a
fast change to mature milk within 24 hours after birth.

She DID suffer from very strong let-downs and high milk production, which
caused some breastfeeding problems at first - but later on she really
enjoyed, as she went back to work early and was able to pump easily, and
when home her baby was full in 10 minutes or so...

(Of course I always remember those quiet, long relaxed breastfeedings with
MY babies, and feel sad when others don't have them, but it worked for HER!)
