Hi All,
I understand the frustration with having to supply references, even though
this is the first time I have had to do it. My situation? I have a mom who
has CHRONIC yeast. She and baby have had it for 9-11 weeks. Every time it
seems as if it is going away, it comes back with a vengence. Mom has been
using Nystatin on herself and baby (applying correctly to both), has boiled
everything in sight, has checked diet, has used white vinegar and still is
miserable! I suggested that she talk to her Dr about Diflucan for her and
baby. Guess what he said? It's not safe for nursing mothers and not to be
used on babies!!! I gave her more info and the title of Tom's book and she's
going to take it back to her Dr and try to talk him into prescribing for her.
 I wished her luck.
Does anyone have any other references I could tell this Dr about, that will
update him on Diflucan? He said he had never heard of it, so asked a
pharmicist who gave him the incorrect info. Also, is there anything else
this gal can try to alleviate this yeast if the Dr refuses to prescribe the
Diflucan? She's at her wits end.
TIA!
Jay
