To my fellow lactnetters-
I really want this to come across short, sweet and non-sarcastically (so
please take this as food for thought).
1. Initials- how long a letter should we write about our experience with
initials? I am thankful to carry the ones I do. I do not appreciate it when a
parent lords it over a nurse on the unit- "Oh, I'll wait to receive help til
the consultant is on!" I discourage that behavior in parents as I recall the
times it happened to me before I received my initials. We will all be known
by our character as it has been said a multitude of times now. I must agree
with Kathleen Bruce- the formula/Ezzo people must be having a field day
observing our "turf wars"...so when can we lay this one to rest?
2. If we continue to hash out all this day after day and reading all this are
we not missing the opportunity to give another community inservice, save
another baby from a bottle, spend a bit more time with our mothers or maybe
even our families?
3. Thankful is what I am for all the information that so many of you share,
but do we become so lengthy in discussion that we do not see that it has been
provided by several others (I too am guilty of this by my repeating what is
in #1). I must confess that there are times when I scroll through lengthy
material to read the short and sweet of things.
Respectfully submitted- Gloria DeHaven (a consultant with numberable titles)
